USA Softball is unveiling a new program that will assist in identifying potential players for the USA Softball National Teams and we invite you to participate. Initially, we are inviting potential coaches for U13-U14-U15-U16-U17 and U18 age groups.
Tennessee has a strong tradition of quality high level coaches and players as is witnessed today and we are seeking those coaches who are interested in helping young ladies in the above age groups achieve their dreams. The Tennessee program will consist of an East and West division in order to eliminate travel concerns.
The goal is to start the program no later than November 15th and we are inviting interested coaches to participate. If interested, please send your name, team name, age group and email address to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
A team must register with the local association in which the greatest number of its’ players reside, and this number must be retained for the remainder of the season. IE--if your team is based out of TN but the majority of your players' addresses are in KY, then your team would need to register in KY. If your team plans to play Championship level events (state, nationals, etc) then your team would follow KY qualification process and gain approval from the KY State Commissioner).
EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 In order to comply with the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017, starting the 2021 season, all players 18 or 19 years old participating in any JO play will be required to complete Safe Sport. In addition; all JO coaches and all umpires working JO play are also required to successfully complete this training.
ALL TN teams playing in ANY USA Class "A" NATIONAL tournament must complete all of the following steps before approval will be given to play in any National Tournament:
