When asked about her involvement in softball and her appointment to the JO Commissioner position, Gale stated “I am honored to have been selected for the TN State JO Commissioner position. I live in Kingsport, TN with my husband, Mack (who is also very involved with our local softball program). I played softball as kid. The game transitioned to fastpitch during my high school years and I absolutely loved it! Years later, I became a softball mom as my daughters started playing the game and we spent several years on the field with my kids coaching and also running local organizational recreation leagues. In 2007 I was asked by my employer to host a fundraiser tournament and it was a huge success. In 2008, I started running girl’s youth fastpitch tournaments and have grown our local association to consistently hosting 60-70+ teams almost every weekend from March - October. I have served on the Tennessee USA Board of Directors for the past 2 years. I choose USA Softball because of its strong mission, vision and value for youth softball. My goal is to serve as a leader and mentor for our state association and help grow the number of teams that play USA Softball”.
